Never Run Faster Than Your Guardian Angel Can Fly by Fryd Frydendahl
Never Run Faster Than Your Guardian Angel Can Fly by Fryd Frydendahl
Fryd Frydendahl shoots the intimate and transforms it to something unworldly.
This book is the outcome of the months spent in self isolation of the New York based artist with her family in Western Jutland, Denmark, during the Covid-19 outbreak in the first half of 2020.
The imagery is accommodated by the text by Mette Kia Krabbe Meyer.
To quote an extract of the book ‘Light is never like that. Harsh. But photographs turn everyday events into crime scenes.’
The colors of the book are captivating and the composition of the pages condenses the experience of the parallel narration while creating space for the images to envelope.
